Katie began her career in 2006 by completing her cosmetology program.  After 3 years of practicing as a hairstylist, Katie found her passion of specializing in men's grooming.  Since then she has pursued multiple educational outlets such as training from Aveda educators Dusty Rhode and Johnny Zygomatic, Hanzo educator Kristan Serafino, American Crew, 18.21 and Reuzel.

In addition to being highly proactive on her education, Katie is also sought after as a independent men's grooming mentor/coach as well as becoming an educator for men's grooming line, 18.21. In this role she serves as a guest artist in hair salons to teach stylists on the current techniques.
